Ok the next thing is the size. The average is in between 2" and 3 1/2". I was thinking a 3" patch would be fine. It's in the norm for patches.

I think 2 1/2 would be good.

2 it is. Now I'll find the cheapest patch maker and we can get the money and do it.

Hold off before placing an order. I'm working on a new version of the winner. I think red and black and forgoing yellow might be the best route.

Ok I'm still trying to find someone here in the area that can do them. If I can't find someone around here i need to find the cheapest on the internet.

Here it is sans color... And here it is colored by Crayolas. I'm sure one of you more computer savvy fellows can get the idea of what I'm shooting for and make it look prettier than Crayolas allowed me. I think this design will please most, if not all, of us. I know Spider-Man was much happier with this particular design.

Its good but it needs some sort of backing other than white.

I was thinking the white just be empty space, so like only the red and black would be actual patch.

Cool looks but it does need a background. I'll see what I can do with the actual patch and post it. Maybe a couple of different versions, both with a background and without.

how about it sits in a white circle with a black ring around the outer edge of it?
red, white and black. Neutralish colors that look okay with pretty much anything.

Its not bad, but for some reason it's still telling me it needs something. What? I don't know. Maybe Red lettering, White shadow, and Black disk or oval background.

Looking better. Try bringing the black ring in a little closer and I think we've got it. Like maybe have the white ring around the A as wide as the black ring? Or possibly a tad thicker? It looks like just a hair too much white around it right now but it's really close to what mt head sees, man. Frikkin' awesome.

Ok here is another rendition of the patch here is what I did. I cut the ring in more making the white not so predominate, I also narrowed the ring just a tad because the more I looked at it the uglier I thought it looked. This is pretty much the best I can get it. Hope you all like it.

Ok good we will roll with it then. I haven't found a good patch maker yet but there is one here in NY i think will do. I got to get a hold of them yet. There was an embroidery place in Gloversville called Creative Tees but they don't do any patches, just directly onto garment work. I'll keep you all posted on what I find out. If you all find a good place let me know.

Are these going to be stitch on or Velcro or choice?

Are these going to be stitch on or Velcro or choice? Here's the deal with that, of all the places I've looked it will cost any where from $1.50-$3.00 extra per patch for adhesive backing, Velcro backing, or any other type of backing. If we go with just a basic patch that we sew on it will be more cost effective. If you want a Velcro back you can go to Walmart and get Velcro strips or disc's to put on them. Also another thing I've noticed it is a 20 count patch minimum order. I'm still trying to find the best place to order from now.

Copying and pasting this from another forum I belong to: Hey everyone, I know I used to have a thread up here on Custom Embroidery but I think it was sucked into the void. I just want to let everyone know that the new division of my company called Lonewolf Armoury is completely up and running. We do custom embroidery work and patches. We are a professional set up, I do this for a living, with industrial equipment, so I assure you we make a quality product. We stand behind our work too so if you receive it and are not 100% satisfied, let us know and we will make the corrections and remake your order. If you've seen the council polo shirts or the WPE table banner then you've seen my work.
We don't require a minimum so if one patch is all you need, that is completely doable. We also do not charge an art set up fee for *most* designs. Obviously if it's something really complex that is going to take me more than an hour or so to set up we may have to but for the most part We also re worked our pricing schedule so those of you who have ordered from us before may notice a difference from what you paid in the past.
We can also do twill patches so if you need a fabric patch for a costume we can do those as well. Our turnaround is usually under two weeks. Obviously if you need a huge run of something done, it may be a bit longer but we try to keep the turnarounds to a minimum.
So far I’ve been able to keep turnaround under two weeks.
Prices are:
2”: $3.00 3”: $3.00 3.5”: $3.50 4”: $4.00 4.5”: $4.50 5”: $5.00 and so on up to 7” in diameter.
Everything beyond that will be taken and priced on a case by case basis. Large orders will also be quoted on a case by case basis.
At this time the official website is still a work in progress and under a bit of construction but it can be found at www.lonewolfarmoury.com.
Inquiries can be sent either to Richard there or to me here. There is also a portfolio of work up on the website. We are constantly adding to that portfolio. We can also do custom embroidery on pretty much anything and depending on the complexity of the design we can embroider full yardage as well.
There's a pretty wide range of things we can do so if you have something in mind it doesn't hurt to ask!
Nash.

www.devildogdesigns.com www.myspace.com/devil_dog_designs I think we should maybe go back to the drawing board for this if we decide on getting some made up. I'm thinking actually having the A in the circle thing but also maybe the words Avengers Paintball somewhere on the patch too.

I think we should look at some other team's patches and get some sort of idea for the patches. I like the A in the circle but I think "Avengers Paintball" should be on there somewhere too.

Sounds good to me. I can shout out to some of the scenario teams on my facebook and have them send me pics of their patches, if they have them, and we can use them for comparison.
