So here is the smaller bunker. Enough for 1 maybe 2 people, if you push it.

Ok here is the overhead view of my property where the field will be set up, how I haven't figured it out yet. Now here is the legend for the chicken scratches: X'd out areas are hedge rows Slashed out areas are roads The cloud looking areas are the wooded areas The flower looking things is a flower bed, off limits The large circle with the X is a very large pine tree

Wow...if we fully enclose them and add the fourth wall, that'd be awesome as all hell and they could be used as command areas, though it'd be better if the command areas were a little away from these forts, too, because usually, the command areas are no-goggle zones..
Regardless though, they're better than Burt's already, simply by having the second and third walls. Another thing...we should be a little more attentive when we make this. Burt's you can see through, for example, so the defenders can't hide all that well due to the attackers being able to see where the defenders are, especially up top.
I suppose what I'm saying is we should look at Burt's as a prototype for this one and improve what he made mistakes with.

we will definitely put some thought into it. the reason you can see where the defenders are is because Burt never put proper backing on the walls. I plan on using thin ply wood or something to that effect to conceal where we are at.

I was also thinking that the windows could be hindged and act as a trap window.

that'd be good...hinged windows sounds interesting.
I was thinking this morning while I fiberglassed on the Vision helmet that we could possibly build portions of the forts now and then, when the nice weather came, it'd be a matter of assembling what was already built.

My reasoning into building the forts in the spring was because I could get most of the materials for free through Siena Fence. The walls would be the same as Burt's fort. Privacy fence. I usually have first dibs on the fences they tear down and that are in good condition. Not only that in the spring through a connection I have at Curtis lumber I can get some of the not so good lumber that they can't sell.

How big are you looking for your field to be? Because it's hard to tell scale, so I'm a little worried about the road's proximity to the wooded areas, which I presume would be our main area to play in.
How big is the pine tree, Spidey would like to know. Because pine trees are cool.
Also, how many floors is the main fort going to be? You may need more holes to fire out of. I'd say 2 and then the sniper tower would be 3. I like the dual floors at Burt's. One thing we need is an easy way down between floors. Perhaps trap doors? unless it ends up 4 walls, then we could just do stairs.

Ok here's the deal the property you all would have to stop by and check out only because I have my deer stand and a swamp behind it. Now the road isn't paved, it's dirt. Consider it a military access road for deliveries. As for duel floors on the main fort I can't because of the strong wind gusts at my house. I was thinking another window at the base of the sniper tower but we will get to that in the spring.

I am going to start to get supplies for the field here soon so if anyone knows of where to get any pallets or 55 gallon drums let me know please. Also any scrap wood, paint cans, netting, or anything else you all think I may need or you will like to have on the field.
