I've been looking back at the posts and it seems that this "forum" is primarily two people. That's it. Most of the time, it's just me.
It's gotten me thinking that maybe I should just give up and close it. There's no point in hosting a forum that isn't even used, is there?
I think the "team" has pretty much died. Name ONE event we've all played at together. No, walk-on Muppet days at Lash's DO NOT count.
I guess I'm asking you, plain and simple....should I even bother anymore? Unfortunately, only ONE of you at best will read this, so perhaps that's my answer right there.

I agree with you completely Cap it is only 2 people on this forum. Personally there is a lot of stuff on here I keep looking back at for reference. I think that having the forum still up and running is actually helpful for myself in keeping references on certain topics. I guess I still use it to spot check certain things.

I've given it a ton of thought over the course of the day and I've made a decision on my stance for this...
2011 is the make or break year for Avengers Paintball. Period. If it doesn't make a turnaround of some sort and become more than one to two guys making a go at it, then it's done. I expect a minimum of ONE event.
That'd be ONE more than 2010.
I have no problem with it being a semi-active club, that's fine. But let's be honest, brutally honest...we're not even that, are we?
2011 needs to be the year we stop TALKING about it and actually do it or there's no point in talking about it anymore and I will change this forum to completely remove any and all references to paintball.

But you understand my frustration with it, right? I do understand your frustration. We have people on here that never post and others that just read what we post. I am also frustrated with it. We also do need to play at least 1 game with each other. As it reaches September my whole season starts to change with the aspect of hunting season coming in to play. When my dad says he is hunting I HAVE to go with him to make sure he takes his meds or he will leave this earth. I will make an effort to make at least one game with ya Cap so long as we aren't the only 2 making that effort. I could probably ramble on about more things I have a problem with but it wouldn't make any difference, so I will leave it at that. |

The season ends pretty much when school starts again as far as I'm concerned. There'll be a few games here and there but for the most part, that's it, it ends at Summer's end.
I'm not even sure if I want to bother trying for Bastogne this year, in all honesty. I probably sound a lot beachier about this than I really am. I'm not pissed or mad or anything. Just frustrated with the lack of activity.
Like you said, you and I just post and it's only us, occasionally Ant-Man. If you notice, the moderator list changed to reflect this.

Speaking of the patch, I found a person who'll do 'em up cheap with NO minimum order....a costuming connection I have. I put the info in the thread for the patch we had before.
As far as the team goes, I'm willing to give it a shot. I'd love for it to work itself out.

I went through today and DELETED anyone who had a post count of ZERO. Most of them were here for MONTHS with no activity. I see no reason to keep them on.
Also added info about Bastogne in the scenario section...new info has come to my attention that makes this a possibility again.

We've shifted focus slightly into a club more than a straight out and out team. Membership in another organization/team/club doesn't disqualify one from membership with us. If you guys are willing, we'd take some new blood any day. We're primarily looking to focus on scenario as a group. |
