Especially the pump...now that I've gotten it working for him again, I think he'll do much better. A lighter, simpler to operate marker for him to get used to the rest of the sport with.

True and not to mention that pumps are making a big comeback in the sport.

That's an excellent point. Strange to see so many die hard speedballers switch to a one-shot pump. Quite a drastic step away from the spray and play, but a good step, nevertheless.
Perhaps acquiring a higher quality pump for him will have to be in order.
