My favorite Speed-ball Myth is: "You need to have a fast firing, expensive marker to compete and be competitive."
Anyone who believes the above statement is true has never played speed-ball with yours truly.
I mean, seriously....I use a freaking' PISTOL and I take out the d**n machine gunners. I played freaking' SNAKE with my PISTOL.
The gun does NOT make you a better player. That comes from the player, from YOU, not in a box that can be purchased through cash, check or most major credit cards.
Those fancy, fast markers are NICE, sure, but they're not necessary at all.
Improve your skills before you upgrade your gear. It's time to replace your equipment when either it's worn out/broken beyond repair or you have out grown it.

Another case and point was during the tournament up to Lash's the winning team all had Tippmann's. The second place team had 2 Mini's and an Epiphany.

Exactly. A bunch of kids with basic stock marker WON the whole thing, man. That kid was usiing a 98 against an Epiphany in the one on one tie breaker and won it. That is an excellent example of my point right there. Thanks for reminding me of that, Iron Man.
