No problem, man. Carving the spray foam turned out to be kind of fun, to be honest.

Like fun in a sort of mindlessly relaxing way. I'd just sort of zone out and just go to town on it. It was fun, like I said.

I might throw some yellow/gold paint on the face plate just to see how it looks. LOL
I think this particular helmet would be a good Mark I helmet too. That's an armor that'd be perfect for you on two levels man...your size/shape lends well to that design and more importantly...no one does that armor ever, so you'd have originality points going right there.
Consider it...I'd be more than willing to help you on that project as I think it'd be enormously fun.

Yeah? I have a figure of that version so we would have a 3D model to work off of.

I've been compiling a folder on my PC of the mark I, both comic and movie version. I figure we could borrow detail elements from the film version to add into the comic version.

I like the flip up maskas well as the tank on the right arm.

Take this... ...and combine it with this... ...and you'd have a bad ass armor. Add the flip up face thing and it'd be even cooler.

Cool. I'll get measurements of the size of the coffee cans we discussed. You measure the length and width of your bicep area, forearms, thighs and calves so we know how much to cover with the cams and all...

Another possiblity is getting the cheaper soccer shin guards from Wal-Mart and building onto them...

If this doesn't fit on your head, we will simply have to cut down the back , as shown here. Basically cut, say...an inch to two inches out of the neck section until it fits. Or, if we go Mark I, simply slicing it up the side will do. It'd make it easier to resin if you want to go that route. (I recommend it. $11 a can Bondo @ Wal-Mart. Foam brushes work fine and are cheap. Like $1 and some change for like 4. You also might want an extra tube of the hardener, which is like $5 I believe.) I don't plan on touching the helmet anymore until it is decided what to use it for. Let me know how you would like to proceed.

Standard Folgers style coffee can, 1 lb size is 5.5" tall and 6" across.
There are larger ones that I have seen at BJs before. They're taller but otherwise the same size as the 1 lb can.
