My step-father's been bugging me for a while to make him a Thor costume so I decided to give him all this and finally got started again on it, since he actually bought some supplies for it. Be d**ned if I'm spending any money on this Attached the circle armor things to the shirt he supplied. They're made from white vinyl and sewn on. I may have him get some glow-in-the-dark paint for them too. The helmet is partly Pepakura originated. I made up part of an Iron-Man helmet and cut it down then added the wings to it. Now, I'm using my trusty masking tape and grocery bags to build it up before I plasti-kote it and paint it. For now, I gave him a Pepakura Mjolnir I found, though I may have him build one out of wood. I was thing a wooden block with a cut off broom handle and then decorated properly would work out pretty well. I still haven't decided which version of Thor to do, however. He's said it's up to me, so I'm kind of looking at all the variants out there. I'm thinking maybe a cross between this: ...and this... Though, due to his body's shape, it'll probably look more like this...
