I may still have to find a red eye mask to cover the visible skin. Oh I need to do something about my vision, lol.

a little red face paint would do fine too.

another idea, too, is to construct eyes from a material YOU can see out of, but anyone else couldn't. I'll poke around and see what I can come up with.

Yeah some eye mesh would probly work best. If constructed right, you could lace in some yellow LEDs.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. we could wire it seperate from the forehead gem, too, so you can have them lit up seperately if you wanted.
I think we should put a voice changer in it and maybe a radio, too.

I need to get some smaller spreaders so I can do closer angles and details with the fiberglass. Some portions of the helmet are hard with the squeegie thin gs I have. Perhaps a putty spatula or two? I'll hit up a hard ware store on my day off and see what I can find. The helmet is very nearly ready for sanding and detail carving. I've actually been putting off work on my shield to get the Vision helmet done up. I figure I have enough shields to cover for now. Vision has nothing, so it became priority for now.

An idea Spider-Man had for the eyes is getting a pair of rose colored sunglasses . It'd give it an anime-ish look, which could be really cool. for a liner, we could take a nice comfy fitting ball cap and cut the bill off. It'd cut down on the amount of foam we'd need. and the cost, as ball caps is cheap.
some kind of mesh for the mouth, too, would work well.
Spidey says to add an mp3 player and headphones and wire it up with a mic jack.
By the way, Spidey's net/pc issues are solved and he'll be on here soon.

I only have to do some touchups with the fiberglass and then it's on to the sanding/carving phase of things. Soon, very soon...

Has Vision been over to try it on since the fiberglassing?

Nope. He was over mid-sanding but it hasn't been washed yet, so he hasn't tried it one yet.

It's been fixed, actually. I was wondering though, rather than retouch it with Bondo AGAIN, would using wood putty to fill any remaining holes work? None are even all that large.

You could if you wanted but then you would have to use sand paper and not a dremiel tool.

Yeah. I ended up just using the Bondo again. LOL
I'll take pics again, soon. I have Monday off, so I'll most likely work on it then.

Dude that looks fantastic. I couldn't have done better myself. The colors are spot on.

Thanks, man. Glad you approve. How does Vizh himself think about it, though, I wonder? Almost done after all these months. I love when I get this close to finishing up a project, man. Presently, I still need to add eyes and mesh for the mouth and forehead holes and we still need a forehead gem, too. I'll most likely add more paint applications as well to add form and depth using various shades of the green and red.
